Jamiroquai es una banda británica liderada por su vocalista Jay Kay que desde su primer disco en 1993 han sido uno de los principales grupos de referencia en el panorama Funk internacional, a la cabeza del movimiento acid jazz, apoyado por otras bandas como Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Galliano y Corduroy, ya abandonado desde el 1996, nacido en Londres, mezcla de Jazz y Funk. El nombre "Jamiroquai" es una unión del nombre de la tribu indígena norteamericana de los iroqueses, con la cual Kay dice que se identifica filosóficamente y el término Jam, proveniente de la palabra Jamming que significa una sesión de improvisación musical. Hasta el momento la banda ha logrado vender más de 31 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo sin contar sus DVD, o sus singles.
